You had my heart in your hand
I was your man
how things changed
it’s hard to understand

Mistakes were made
I wish we could go back
before the lights went out
and everything went black

Our bond was so tight
our love flew so high
now it’s fallen on the ground
and about to die

But what took me by surprise
was the moment when I realized
that all I thought I saw in your eyes
were nothing but illusions and lies

I thought we had reached the milestone
but the stones were miles away
I thought we were on the rainbow
but then it suddenly turned grey

I had dreams
dreams that only could have been fulfilled by you
but u threw my dreams away,
and made my nightmares come true

You were so cold
That my blood turned to ice, before it hit the floor
You wasn’t satisfied with my heart
Dissatisfied as u were, you craved for more

My heart beats rhythm
Went out of control
because you broke it
the heart, which you once stole

I walk around with an empty soul
and a heart that’s dying
I look up to the moon to salute my loneliness
when I see the stars are crying

Feel the tears fall down on me
as if it rained for so long
hearing amour saying sorry
because he aimed wrong

So he pulls of the arrow
from the bottom of my heart
leave it with a hole,
pushing the button on restart

Now I’m left to myself
I only have my poetry
it releases my feelings
from the prison within me

I’m moving on
leaving me with my blood dripping
I use it as my ink
when my poetry is writing

Your knife went so deep trough my skin
that you scratched my bones
u have lost a diamond
while u were busy playing with stones
